ELYRIA St. Thomas Aquinas won a hard fought game with Elyria Catholic to earn its first victory of the season.
The Knights were led by their defense which held the Panthers to minus-10 yards rushing.
P.J. Lombardi had an interception that set up the Knights' first score while Mike McGervey had a 19-yard tackle for a loss.
On offense, the Knights got a big contribution from Steven Foltz who finished with 81 yards rushing on 24 carries. He also hooked up with Sean Clary for a 30-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.
