MASSILLON—Kyle Kempt hooked up with Montel Harrison for a pair of passing touchdowns, as the Tigers opened the season with a win at Paul Brown Stadium.
Kempt connected with Harrison for scores of 32 and 57 yards. Kempt finished 8-of-13 for 134 yards.
The Tigers' defense held Buchtel to 87 total yards, including just 10 passing. The Griffins scored their only TD on a 50-yard interception return by Isaiah Thompson.
Massillon, which rushed for 166 yards on the ground, got rushing TDs from Alex Winters and Ryne Moore. Moore finished with a team-high 102 yards.
