Game Recap

Tyler Foster led McKinley on a 74-yard game winning touchdown drive with 1:13 remaining to defeat Massillon 23-20 in the 121st meeting between the two rivals.
Foster capped the drive with a 4-yard touchdown run with 13 seconds left, as the win put the Bulldogs in the playoffs with an 8-2 record. The Tigers finish 7-3 and will not make the playoffs.
The lead changed hands four times in the fourth quarter, starting with Massillon’s Tre Hendricks catching a 28-yard TD pass from Kyle Kempt with 11:14 left.
Less than four minutes later, Foster threw a 5-yard TD pass to Terrence Burt to end a 63-yard drive.
Massillon responded with 67-yard TD drive in just 79 seconds, with Winters scoring from 43 yards out. That set the stage for McKinley’s game-winning drive, which Foster engineered by going 3-for-3 passing. His 42-yard connection with Jeff Richardson keyed the drive, which also was helped by a personal foul penalty by Massillon at the end of that pass play.
Foster went 13-of-20 passing for 141 yards and two touchdowns. Richardson and Burt caught the TD passes. Richardson was the game's leading receiver, catching five passes for 80 yards.
Winters had two touchdowns for Massillon. Winters had 10 carries for 71 yards and caught a 28-yard touchdown pass. Kempt went 9-of-17 passing for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Hendricks caught Kempt’s second TD pass and had four receptions for 50 yards.
