EAST CANTON Malek Williams found Eric Lacey for a 40-yard touchdown pass with 30 seconds left, then Williams ran in the two-point conversion to give the Trojans a 28-27 victory on the road.
East Canton took the lead with 1:21 left in the game when Travis VanVoorhis caught a 33-yard touchdown pass from Clay Libertore and Duke Taylor tacked on the two-point conversion run to make it 27-20.
Libertore finished 12-of-26 for 169 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. VanVoorhis also had a 19-yard touchdown reception and Sam Elseser added a 5-yard TD catch.
Williams, who completed 6-of-17 passes for 169 yards, also had a 33-yard touchdown pass to Chris Brunner in the second quarter.
Timken got on the board first when N'Tori Smith ran in from 3 yards out. The Hornets answered back when Aaron Kennedy took back a punt 88 yards for a score.
The Trojans had a successful night running the ball, with Ismail Oree leading the way with 186 yards on 24 carries, including a 35-yard touchdown run in the third.
